Chris Bruneau is a private equity and finance professional with legal training and experience investing in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Peru and Latin America at large. His specialities include new business generation, capital raising, investment underwriting, negotiations and legal matters. Chris received his Bachelos education at Georgetown University in Comparative Government in Latin America. Chris holds a Juris Doctor degree of Law from Georgetown University, and a Masters in Latin America Studies from John Hopkins University. He is currently Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of Ceres Limited.
For over 24 years Chris has worked in the finance sector, advising on foreign investments, securities, private equity, venture capital and real estate investments. Chris has held key leadership positions in firms around the world, specifically in Latin America, where he has represented dozens of projects exceeding US$200 million for clients such as The Ritz-Carlton, Four Season Hotel and major real estate development sites across South and Latin America.
Including his position as a trusted advisor to Cardus Development, Chris also advises in the legal aspects of export finance business in Latin America.
Jeff Miller is an outcomes-based real estate Executive with over 22 years of public-private partnerships, multifamily and mixed-use development, finance, transaction, and municipal expertise. As lead of several of Washington, DC’s top developers’ multifamily divisions, Jeff created and managed various platforms and investment strategies for every area of multifamily ownership including multifamily and mixed-use high-rise acquisition, capitalization, development, re-positioning, operations, and disposition. In addition, Jeff has expertise in public sector partnering, government processes and relations due to nearly four years working as the Director of Real Estate and then Deputy Mayor for the District of Columbia under Mayor Vincent Gray. Jeff is currently Executive Vice President for Investments and Real Estate at Rhode Island Commerce Corporation.
Virgilio Alon Jr. was born in Mineola New Yok and raised Upstate. After over twenty years in the internet industry working for companies such as Bank of America, Deutsch and Warner Brothers Entertainment, he entered residential real estate sales. At Virginia Estates, he is responsible for sourcing and growing the firm’s international brokerage partnerships. The firm, which specializes in vineyards and wineries as well as estate properties, has grown its partnerships to include the countries of France, Italy, Spain, Germany, U.K., Portugal, Mallorca, Greece. He assisted in developing Virginia Estates’ Worldwide Wineries & Vineyards and Luxury International Real Estate businesses. In 2018 he started Trade Winds Merchants an import export business that focuses on wines, spirits, gourmet foods as well as French and American oak barrels and has forged business relationships with importers and distributors from countries such as Hong Kong, Singapore, France, Spain, Italy, Belize and Argentina.
Virgilio Alon received his Bachelor’s education at Boston College with a degree in Psychology and holds two Master’s degrees in Business Administration from Babson College, and Real Estate Development & Finance from Georgetown University. As a Certified Capital Raising Specialist (CCRS) and Certified Private Equity Professional (CPEP), Virgilio holds the expertise and experience that enables investors to exceed expected returns and mitigate economic threats.
Virgilio started his first business, Capellus Holdings LLC in 2014 which includes a number of companies including interactive and real estate investments. Cardus Development is Virgilio’s second thriving business, where he is CEO and key developer. Virgilio has extensive experience in global markets and works with an international team of market researchers, economists and real estate professionals to uncover lucrative opportunities.
